Welcome to Gallery 1

Featured Artist for Oct. - Dec. 1999

Welcome to Donna (beadle) Addis' Gallery !

Donna is one of the most versatile beading artists I have met.  We have featured her this quarter because Donna is accomplished in needle tatting and many of you have seen the tatting in many of the jewelry and beading magazines this last year... If you want to learn more about needle tatting Donna is the Gal and she also provides you with so many links to other tatting sites.

Donna Addis  lives in the California Desert with hubby and is the mother of 3. She loves doing beadwork and tatting.  She has also been a Musician for 25 years and play both electric and acoustic guitar as well as sing and write music.

Like many of us, Donna suffers from some chronic health problems and finds peace and serenity in beading.  Need I add she is also a Super Beady Beach Bum and loves the ocean.  She enjoys making beading and tatting patterns and looks forward to being a published artist!

This Bracelet is made in "Free Form Peyote Style" using a variety of local shells and beads. I was inspired by many recent works by the BeadTalk and Beady BeachBum Beaders and also a pattern in April '99 Jewelry Crafts Magazine by Pamela Welborn

Red Earth Gifts - Rita Black

I was inspired by some shells I found. They sat with me for almost a year before I was called to create this set. The earth, the sea and it's treasures are represented in this set. Jewelry fit for a mermaid. The necklace is 27" long with the shell dangle about 4", the earrings about 3".

Heart Necklace by Kari Burns

She lives on Puget sound with the ocean on her doorstep.  Here is a scan of a necklace she has made with rocks that she collects off the beach and then tumbles.   The rock is marble, the heart are hematite.  Thanks for sharing your piece Kari.
