Swap Meet Items - they are a WOW

I just love these little necklaces.   Pam you made them in such beautiful colors and they all remind me of finding pebbles on the beach.  We all really took on  more than I imagined and I will get it right next time.  I think it is one item each and then swapped.  You did a super job Pam and love them all.  Sent them out by picking them with my eyes closed.  You can e-mail Pam at pjwelb@concentric.net

Anita did these darling pins using MOP buttons as the base, seed beads in free form and wonderful Dentalium fringe.  They are really darling and the colors were so great that we had to put them in a bag, close our eyes, and randomly pick who got which pin.  Thanks Anita (and she did all these before she went to England to visit her new Grandbaby!  Way to go Anita.  Feel free to e-mail Anita for more information at manna@nwinfo.net

cathyswap.jpg (60043 bytes) From Cathy F.

She had a good excuse for not getting hers done and anyway she wasn't supposed to do anything except have the baby so Nanna did this for her.  I can't take credit for any of the needle case as I used Pam Welborn's pattern and instructions that were in Jewelry Craft magazine. Aug. 1998 issue.   The only thing I did was use pieces of shell at the tips of the fringe and topped the cap with a peach freshwater pearl.  Thanks for the pattern and inspiration Pam.   She also is part of the swap so she can critique my work.  UGH

angel.jpg (34594 bytes) For Meredith

Just because all of us need a guardian angel, and because she had to withdraw from the swap, everyone is getting this little angel to remind them that they are looked after everyday in everywhere.

This is a little baby beach bag that I have to give Rebekah Wills credit for.  I used her wonderful "A Bag of Butterflies" pattern in the May/June 99 issue of Jewelry Craft magazine.  Granted I used different embellishments and colors but it is Rebekah's bag.  Thanks Rebekah.   This bag is accented with mother of pearl, little shells, shell chips, green adventurine, peach freshwater pearls and some # 11 seed beads.  The bag itself is done in Delica's.  It was a blast making it and I think I am turned on to this shape of bag.

my e-mail is gibsonspi@sprynet.com

donna swap.bmp (2084886 bytes) Donna H.

Donna made the most wonderful little heart shaped leather bag that even has a little velcro closure.  Her strap is very complementary to the bag but most of all she showed us a wonderful use of Dentallium shells as embellishments.

you can e-mail her at blueskyvisions@compuserve.com
